Great color/drawing/composition. I like your attempt to mastering the low/high contrast to create focal pt and eye flow. I would work a little more on secondary points of contrast. Like, you have BIG contrast on face and under his chest, where the blood is, and then you have all of it kinda toned down. I'd try to find some other areas that would have an in-between level of contrast. But that's just me, lol. I can never really have an obvious focal point like this, so cheerz for that =D.
Cool exageration of the girl's thin waist to suggest the time period/costume/fashion etc.
